Reviving an Iconic Virginia Brand

Pooja Group’s journey in the convenience store industry began in 2010 as a family endeavor, starting with a single station—in the Northern Neck region of Virginia. With a deep-rooted commitment to serving the local community, the business quickly grew, expanding to four locations within just two years.

The fourth acquisition was particularly meaningful: the last remaining Little Sue Food Store, a cherished Virginia brand that once had over 40 locations statewide. As many of these stores were sold off to national chains like 7-Eleven, the family saw an opportunity to revive and preserve a beloved local name. Recognizing the heritage and community value of Little Sue, they decided to rebrand all their locations under this iconic banner, ensuring the legacy lived on.
